NCP Coordinators Meet
NEIGHBORHOOD CHILDREN PARLIAMENT COORDINATORS AND ANIMATORS MEET
NCP Coordinators and Animators meet was held at Marialaya, Tiruppur on 27th July 2014. Ten Sisters and five Lay coordinators participated in the meet. It was a gathering to evaluate the functioning mode of NCPs and planning for the current academic year. Prayer was animated by Sr. Jenophia from Michaelpuram. The morning session consisted of the presentation of Annual reports by the NCP Coordinators from each house. It was indeed a laudable presentation of success, efforts and struggles through colourful Power point presentations. The Coordinators also presented the annual plan of the houses. The performance of Ulagampatti Coordinator and the newly appointed lay Coordinator was much appreciated for their effort in publishing an article about their celebration in ‘Daily Dhanthi’. The sharing of experiences enriched the Sisters who have recently taken up the responsibility as NCP Coordinators.
Witnessing the gradual growth of NCP members Auxilium ARUWYE wanted to take up the NCPs to next level. As the first step in our move towards developing a new module for NCP trainings we had invited the team from Yilead to conduct Focused group discussion for the NCP Coordinaotrs and Animators. Focused Group Discussion (FGD) consisted of activities like collage about students psychology, personal interview, role play about society, expectation and suggestion of Coordinators. A team of 5 members from Yilead organized the FGD. The FGD was followed by the session on suggestions for the better functioning of NCPs. The participants came forward with the following suggestions:
- Releasing a quarterly magazine
- Organizing province and zonal level camp for the NCP members
- Compilation of the success stories of NCPs as a video.
The participants drew the annual activity plan for the current academic and pledged themselves to empower children through NCPs to become agents of social transformation. The meeting concluded with the short address by Sr. Irudhayaraj Victoria the Animator of Tirupur.
